Women’s Retreat 2023 — Friday, October 13th to Sunday October 15th

Where is God in the middle of our hard times? Why does God allow his children to be persecuted? Journey with Habakkuk as he asks the hard questions and hear God's responses that turn Habakkuk's complaining into celebration.

Peggy Johnson is a woman who has been shaped by God’s truth and grace over the years. She has known many joys and much suffering. Through it all, God has impressed upon her the necessity of thinking and applying truth to daily living. Peggy has taught junior high for 35 years, and she delights in using her platform as a teacher to point young men and women to the grace of God in the Gospel. Peggy is also an ACBC certified biblical counselor. God has used her to care for many women over the years who struggle with depression, anxiety, fear, anger, control, addiction, self-harming, eating disorders, and a variety of other life-dominating sin struggles. She has apprenticed as 12 Stones Counseling Center, taught at Master’s University for women’s chapel and several leadership workshops, and served as a conference and retreat speaker for churches. Peggy has one daughter, Hannah, who is married with 4 children and lives in Durango, Colorado.
